so after a year away from it, i have cable TV once again, and i must admit it's weirding me out. i spent an hour this afternoon watching Kept, the first reality show i've seen since Road Rules 11 sophomore year. thus, i feel quite disgusted myself. for the time being, having the chance to watch Adult Swim, reruns of Seinfeld, and the occasional Braves game is enough to keep paying the extra $8 of our cable internet bill.
for the fourth time in 2 years, my car's incapacitated (2 blown tires on seperate occasions, a low-charged battery, and i'm guessing it's the alternator this time). normally, it's not a problem to get someone to follow me to my car guy, but it's finals and people have full-time jobs during the day. there was an attempt today to revive it with a friend of ashley's, but either the connection was bad or "maude" just has nothing left because she wouldn't even rev. damn.
on the upside, this Sunday is probably the last Crisis performance (winston and i won't have time for it in the fall), one in which the Elephant 666 Orchestra and The Mooninites will score the soundtrack to the 1927 silent film Metropolis. the movie will be projected on a screen in the lobby, so folks are encouraged to come and watch. or listen. whichever fills your fancy. Sunday 11pm-1am.
